Cutting tolerances that refer to ISO9013 are usually supplemented by three trailing digits, each of which specifies a specific tolerance category. The first digit defines the permissible values for perpendicularity, the second the average roughness and the third the dimensional tolerances.

Example: ISO9013-442   

• Squareness or inclination tolerance (table 4) according to area 4 
• Average roughness (Table 5) according to area 4
• Dimensional tolerances (table 7) according to class 2
